WhatsApp tests a new look for the contact card in the app

The WhatsApp may, soon, a new visual contact card of individuals or groups to enhance the display of information in this space. Do you know when you tap someone’s profile picture on the chat list? This area that opens and displays information can be improved by developers.

The trial version repositioned the info button next to the contact or group name, which is now under the image. The buttons remain the same, but are spaced further apart due to the moved icon.

The profile photo, on the other hand, was reduced, centered and gained a rounded shape, as occurs in conversations. The redesign offers a slightly more modern look and optimized for the look of the app.

Today, profiles use round photos because they are shown like that during chat, but in card view mode it appears square. The profile name is also left-aligned at the top, well overshadowed in relation to the image. Check out:

The feature is under development and will be available in a future update, although when is not yet known. For the time being, it cannot even be accessed by beta testers, which suggests that changes have yet to be made.

Did you like the new look or was the old one better? Comment with your opinion.
