From Dropping Out of College to Walking and Filming the NY Fashion Week, Sacred Thomas Is All about Pursuing Passion and Dreams

As we go through our lives, we might encounter our fair share of failures, and make a whole bunch of mistakes. However, taking those failures as lessons can help us bounce back and learn things we didn’t know before. Instead of seeing failure as the end of the road, take it as a tool to help you get one step closer to your passions and goals. This is the exact principle that helped social media influencer and videographer Sacred Thomas crack the code to success.

Sacred Thomas is the founder of Sacred Shot Media, a company specializing in documentary-style storytelling while filming weddings, fitness videos, food conferences, live concerts, commercials, and whatnot. The young entrepreneur has also been a part of filming ‘Tiger Kingdom’, which is a spinoff of the Netflix hit film ‘Tiger King’ and featured Doc Antle and his Myrtle Beach Safari.

Thomas’ expertise has also reached the New York Fashion Week as he had the opportunity to walk as well as film for the designer ‘Chainguardians’. “Couldn’t have thought of a better place to walk than the 69th floor of the World Trade Center,” Thomas recalled the experience on Instagram while sharing some top-notch visuals from the show. Nonetheless, the road to all these achievements wasn’t a smooth one.

Hailing from Miami, Florida, Thomas grew up in a creative household, where he would film different types of videos for his friends and siblings. This way, the love and passion for videography were instilled in him early on but remained deeply rooted for a long time.

While in college, Thomas started a party bus company named Five Star Entourage with his friend. For seven years, the company would help students shuttle down from San Marcos to Austin towards the end of the week to enjoy the clubs, bars, and nightlife there. From wine tours, bachelor/bachelorette parties, weddings, and river tours to renting out buses for special tours, it provided all kinds of transportation services.

Entirely engrossed in the party bus business, Thomas could no longer concentrate on his studies and ended up dropping out of college. Although one would call it one of the biggest failures of his life, Thomas recalls it as “the best thing I’ve ever done.” “If I didn’t take the leap full-time into the business, I wouldn’t be where I am today.”

Nevertheless, the party bus business was never his destination as he knew it wasn’t the very business where his passion resided. So when he started questioning himself about what he would do if time and money were no object, the answer ended up being that he would travel and film. And the rest is history. Thomas founded his video production company in 2019 and success is already knocking at his door. Till now, he has filmed several artists like T-Pain, Ashanti, Shek Wes, Bhad Bhabi, and more.
Following his dreams, Thomas aims to show that passions, when sprinkled with some hard work and grit, can do wonders. Visit his business website here and have a look at some of the amazing cinematic visuals he has captured so far.
