Pop star 28 years set the record straight after many fans speculate that he was involved in the much commented album Donda of Kanye West , who on 29 August launched. Although the 44-year-old rapper claimed that Universal Music Group released his album early, there is no denying that people enthusiastically listened to his music and tried to decode every letter.
In fact, the Arianators believed the “positions” singer had teamed up with Kanye after hearing background vocals on the album’s title track that sounded eerily similar to hers. However, Ariana took to her Instagram Story on Monday, August 30, to put an end to the rumors.
The Grammy winner revealed that artist Stalone is the voice behind the background vocals, writing in a post that he later deleted, “You sound so beautiful @thestalone [three fire heart emojis].”
“I’m still so honored and excited,” Stalone shared on Instagram, reposting the legend of Ariana. “Thanks again, Ari.”
Stalone continued to rave about Ariana’s praise for her voice and shared further evidence that she appeared on the Donda track.
“I love Ari and am so thankful that my voice is compared to hers,” read the singer’s Twitter message, along with a screenshot of the song’s credits showing her name, adding, ” I am blessed to be a part of such an amazing album. “
Stalone is one of many artists who collaborated with Kanye on Donda , including The Weeknd , Travis Scott, and Jay-Z . Additionally, the Yeezy founder joined forces with some controversial musicians, including Chris Brown , Marilyn Manson, and DaBaby .
Most recently, Kanye received a backlash for working with Marilyn and DaBaby, who have come under fire in recent months. The rocker, whose real name is Brian Warner , currently faces multiple allegations of sexual misconduct and abuse, which he has publicly denied.
Additionally, DaBaby, also known as Jonathan Kirk , sparked controversy in July after making homophobic statements at a music festival. He publicly apologized for his comments in early August.
Before the release of the album, Marilyn and DaBaby appeared in the listening party of Donda in Chicago on August 28, which only added fuel to the fire.
A source previously told E! News that Kim Kardashian , who made a surprise cameo and shared an intimate reunion with her ex, was “very upset” by the rapper’s inclusion of Marilyn and DaBaby. A second informant added that she was “shocked” by the ordeal and “really had no idea” that they were involved.
Overall, however, a third source explained that Kim remains one of Kanye’s strongest supporters, despite filing for divorce in February.
“Kanye asked her to do something and Kim was happy to do it,” revealed a source close to the KKW Beauty founder. “She has always supported his work and will continue to do so in the future. She enjoys collaborating with Kanye. They have a bond for life and she wants to be there for him.”
